We are Cleveland! Cleveland Range, is a leading manufacturer and designer of steam cooking equipment. We have a long and proud history of serving the food service industry with quality and innovative cooking devices. Our current product offerings include steamers, combination steamer‑ovens, kettles, braising pans and specialty application ovens.
Under general supervision, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, moving and loading/unloading material in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met to satisfy customer requirements. This role also facilitates the receiving and shipping of replacement parts for the Cleveland brand.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Utilize hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products as needed for production, shipping, or waste management.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment, label product, verify orders are picked correctly, stage orders, and package or load orders on semi‑trucks.
- Use scan guns to pick orders, locate product, and update ERP system.
- Construct shipping containers, prepare product for shipment, and crate and/or band product as required.
- Inspect product to ensure conformance to quality, engineering standards, and customer requirements.
- Complete and maintain accurate electronic processes and paperwork.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management.
- Conduct cycle counts of product to ensure accuracy in the inventory system.
- Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values and Safety standard.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment, including operating a forklift preferred.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English language.
- Must be able to meet company requirements to maintain Forklift certification.
- Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required material handling equipment.
- Basic writing, communication and problem solving skills.
- Perform duties in accordance with current Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements.
- Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work over 40 hours as required.
Able to lift 35 lbs., walk on the manufacturing floor, stand for extended periods of time, sit for extended periods of time. Stand and walk on concrete up to 95% of workday, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to visually inspect product and differentiate color, ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel, manual dexterity in hands for tool usage.
