Wire Machine Operator at G&S Metal Products

The Wire Machine Operator is responsible for managing a wire machine used for manufacturing metal bakeware. He/She ensures production is being maintained safely, accurately, and quickly.

• Operates wire machine safely and accurately, meeting daily production goals.
• Loads wire into the machine for forming, entering wire dimensions into the computer.
• Manually adjusts the machine with a wrench as needed to ensure specs are achieved.
• Notifies production supervisor once wire coil needs replenished.
• Follows work order instructions to ensure wire dimensions correspond with the product specifications.
• Follows company guidelines and procedures to meet manufacturing specifications.
• Alerts production supervisors of any manufacturing defects immediately.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Utilizes personal protective equipment at all times to ensure safety.
• Is reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Basic understanding of machine operations
• Ability to focus and concentrate for extended periods
• Resilient with a positive attitude
• Forklift operation experience preferred; not required
• Self-motivated and solid work ethic
• Willingness to learn and take direction

• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required
• Previous press operator experience preferred; not required

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
• Continuous standing and bending
• Dexterity and the ability to use hands and fingers to assemble
