Alpha Tool & Mold, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and experienced Tool and Die Makers to join our team. We are a tool and die manufacturing company dealing mainly with precision machining work as well as plastic, wax, and ceramic core dies. You will be building and repairing all forms of tooling (including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and molds). Candidates need to demonstrate an ability to meet job requirements, problem solve, and work cooperatively with other team members.

No Production Machinists, this is a single piece precision machining environment.

• Work with project managers to manufacture and assemble dies and tools according to drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate various machines and equipment including Bridge Ports, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Identify and resolve issues or malfunctions in tools and dies.
• Work in tolerances of +/- .001 per inch to +/- .0005 per inch.
• Read and interpret drawings, prints, sketches, geometric tolerances, and technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
• Interpret 2D files or prints and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Measure and inspect tight tolerance parts using various gauges, indicators, and micrometers.
• Ability to run a Sinker or Wire EDM (is a plus but not mandatory)
• Precision Manual Grinding (is a plus but not mandatory)

• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a tool and die maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the tool and die industry dealing mainly with precision machining work as well as plastic, wax, and ceramic core dies. (Preferred)
• Experience with Airfoil Die work. (Preferred)
• Strong understanding of machining principles and machine tools, including lathes and mills, bridge ports, grinders, saws, and EDM sinkers, including speeds, feeds, step downs, and cutting tools.
