Production Manager, Operations Manager

Operates a modern production environment utilizing advanced wide-format digital printing and related finishing technologies.
Company seeks a Production Manager to join our industry’s leading organization in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will lead and support our wide-format digital print production team of 5-8 team members. The successful candidate will ensure the on-time delivery and high-quality of our products and lead the team with integrity, work ethic, clear communication, accountability, and through continuous education and development of the team members.
The position offers a competitive compensation package of $70k - $90k based on experience, and includes medical, dental, vision, and 401K, as well as incentive programs tied to company performance.
Responsibilities- Production Output & Quality:
- Oversee the full production cycle to ensure daily orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to established quality standards.
- Step in hands‑on when needed to keep workflow on track.
- Materials & Inventory Oversight:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to avoid production delays
- Conduct routine cycle counts, monitor replenishment needs, and collaborate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and consistent material quality.
- Operational Performance & Waste Reduction:
- Track and improve key production metrics, including material utilization, scrap levels, and rework rates, with a focus on reducing avoidable costs.
- Ensure all machinery is kept in reliable operating condition through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and coordination with service providers as needed.
- Leadership & Team Accountability:
- Guide production staff to meet individual and team goals while fostering an environment of accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Manage labor efficiency and help team members develop stronger technical skills.
- Process Improvement & Strategic Projects:
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflow, efficiency, and product quality.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives that contribute to operational growth and long‑term business improvement.
- Sample Workflow Coordination:
- Oversee the creation, tracking, and timely delivery of sample materials that support the sales pipeline and future production opportunities.
- Facility & Operational Support:
- Manage facility‑related needs, including landlord interactions, upkeep, and operational readiness of the workspace.
- Team Supervision:
- Directly supervise a small production and shipping team, with responsibility for coaching, performance expectations, and team motivation as the department grows.
- Anticipate production challenges and address them quickly to prevent disruptions to daily output and customer commitments.

- Leadership Background:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in commercial print production.
