Lathe Operators

Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay:$25–$35/hour
Duration: 6 weeks
Schedule: 40+ hours per week

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Lathe Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating lathes, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring tools to produce accurate, quality parts.

Set up and operate manual or CNC lathes according to production requirements.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

Select and install appropriate tooling for production.

Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances.

Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.

Perform in-process and finished-product quality checks.

Identify and troubleshoot basic machining or quality issues.

Maintain proper machine operation and production output.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.

Previous lathe operating or machining experience required.

Experience with manual and/or CNC lathes preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and machining processes.

Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Dependable with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

2nd: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

3rd: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

• $179 per day per diem ($1,247 per week) paid for all days while traveling.
• When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate
• If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.76 per mile
• If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel
