Senior Account Manager
The Senior Account Manager will serve as the primary strategic partner and trusted advisor for a portfolio of assigned high-value clients. The Senior Account Manager will be a part of the thunder::tech Client Services Department, working closely with internal teams, including department managers and production teams, and will report to the Senior Director of Client Services. The Client Services Department is responsible for strategic relationship management, client growth and day-to-day project management and coordination.
Location:
Cleveland-Akron area with the ability to be in the office three days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts and key stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations proactively and effectively from the outset, based on experience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment with scope of work.
- Partner with clients closely, acting as a true extension of their internal marketing team.
- Inspire and motivate internal production teams to challenge themselves and consistently produce their best work for assigned clients.
- Advise clients strategically to elevate their marketing knowledge, leading to increased agency opportunities.
- Conduct extensive market and competitive research to understand clients’ businesses, goals and needs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for additional agency service offerings within assigned accounts.
- Reframe client requests to provide innovative, critical-thinking-lead solutions, agnostic of marketing medium.
- Develop and present campaign ideas, strategic plans and overall recommendations for clients.
- Utilize and effectively delegate day-to-day project management tasks to the Project Management Team.
- Execute and develop comprehensive proposals, service agreements and contracts.
- Manage multiple internal and external projects simultaneously, overseeing deliverables and deadlines.
- Create and iterate new processes for increased efficiency, both internally and externally.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a marketing and/or account management role, preferably in an agency environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
- Commitment to continuing education, demonstrated through proactive research.
- Demonstrated ability to use measurable techniques (KPIs, analytics) to analyze campaign results, derive actionable insights and inform future marketing decisions.
