Project Director & President of the PMPA Educational Foundation Board
The Project Director and President of the PMPA Educational Foundation is the responsible for advancing the Foundation’s mission to strengthen the precision manufacturing industry through education, workforce development, and community engagement. Reporting directly to PMPA’s Executive Director and collaborating with the Board Chair, the president provides strategic leadership, drives fundraising and external relations, and ensures operational excellence. This role requires an energetic leader who is equally comfortable setting vision, building partnerships, telling the Foundation’s story, and executing day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with the Foundation’s mission, goals, and Board directives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board Chair and Board of Directors, offering clear insights, data-driven recommendations, and transparent reporting.
- Cultivate a leadership culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all Foundation activities.
- Lead all fundraising efforts, including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, annual giving, and special campaigns.
- Build and steward strong relationships with donors, industry partners, educational institutions, and philanthropic organizations.
- Create compelling cases for support and ensure excellent donor communication and recognition.
- Serve as the chief storyteller and public ambassador for the Foundation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that elevates the Foundation’s visibility and impact.
- Represent the Foundation at industry events, conferences, and community engagements to promote programs and partnerships.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Foundation programs, scholarships, grants, and workforce development initiatives.
- Ensure programs deliver measurable value and align with the Foundation’s mission.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and vendor or contractor relationships.
- Provide timely, well-organized information to assist the Board Chair and Directors in effective governance.
- Maintain clear communication channels with the Board and support Board committees with materials, reporting, and follow-through on assigned tasks.
- Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and fiduciary standards.
Required
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofits, associations, workforce development, education, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, including major gifts or corporate partnerships.
- Strong marketing, communications, and public-facing skills.
- Hands‑on operational experience with the ability to both plan and execute.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- High degree of initiative, integrity, and follow‑through.
Preferred
- Experience in workforce development, manufacturing, or technical education.
- Familiarity with association management or foundation administration.
- Knowledge of donor management software and nonprofit financial practices.
- Mission‑driven and passionate about supporting the precision manufacturing workforce.
- A strategic thinker who is also a proactive doer.
- Collaborative, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to work effectively under Board leadership.
