Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU will provide high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. The nurse will utilize advanced knowledge and critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for those experiencing life-threatening cardiac events.
Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular ICU.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to emergencies.

• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

• Educate patients and families on care plans and critical health issues.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Critical Care/ICU experience.

• 18 months permanent experience in the Cardiovascular ICU prior to travel assignments.

• Current and valid Ohio license or compact state license required.

• AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.

• NIHHS certification required.

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessments must be completed during orientation with acceptable scores.
