American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position requiring a permanent OH or compact RN license and a strong background in dialysis nursing.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based dialysis unit and provide hemodialysis services to stable patients in the unit as well as bedside dialysis for ICU patients,

• Connect and disconnect patients from peritoneal dialysis treatments,

• Primary use of Fresenius hemodialysis machines, with full orientation provided,

• No CRRT or PIRRT performed by this unit; ICU manages CRRT and Tablo Machines are not used,

• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (shifts between 7:00am-7:30pm and 8:30am-9:00pm),

• On-call rotation and every other weekend required,

Job Requirements

• Active, permanent OH or compact RN license in hand,

• Minimum 18 months of permanent dialysis nursing experience required prior to travel,

• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• At least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in dialysis nursing required for consideration,

• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate during orientation with a passing score in no more than two attempts,

• Negative 10 panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start,

• No open background check cases or license hits accepted,

• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing,

Additional Information

• Provide acute hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care in both unit-based and ICU bedside settings,

• Full orientation to dialysis machines provided,

• Exempt from nicotine-free policy for nurses and CSTs,

• Annual and pre-start facility modules must be completed before starting and annually if on contract for a continuous year,

• Permanent and per diem staff must wait 1 year after last assignment before returning to work at the facility,

• Assignments at the facility cannot exceed 18 consecutive months; may extend with client approval, but a 6-month break is typically required after that,
