Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Stepdown (HVTI) unit

• Care for patients requiring cardiac stepdown-level monitoring and interventions

• 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation based on operational needs

• Facility will attempt to honor preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate between days and nights

• Must work at least every other holiday

• ECG rhythm recognition test and Safe Medicate assessment will be administered during orientation and must be passed for continued assignment

• Use of Qualivis – Lotus system for submitting hours worked is required

• Cannot work more than 18 consecutive months at Cleveland Clinic locations through American Traveler; a break of at least 6 months must be taken before returning

• Team-based environment with evolving patient care needs

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand

• Minimum 18 months of permanent cardiac stepdown RN experience required (travel experience acceptable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety as assessed during orientation
