Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and a valid OH or compact RN license.

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes a variety of med/surg and telemetry cases
• Assignment consists of three 12-hour shifts per week
• Candidates must be available for both day and night shifts (rotating), with facility preference to honor shift requests when possible
• Rotation between shifts may occur based on operational needs
• Traveler must work every other holiday
• Med/Surg Tele RNs will perform direct patient care including monitoring telemetry and executing physician orders
• All clinical hours must be documented using Qualivis – Lotus
• Assignments at the same location cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning
• Must complete a clinical orientation including required assessment tests
• RNs must be prepared to provide care during major holidays on a rotating basis
• Dress code or scrubs requirement will be provided by the facility before assignment starts

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate tests during orientation with acceptable scores
