About This Role

The Telephone Triage Nurse at Cleveland Clinic provides 24/7 access to expert clinical guidance, serving as the primary clinical point of contact for patients with various health concerns. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in delivering high-quality remote nursing care across all age groups.

• Pay: $30.41 - $46.38/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic
• Department/Unit: Main Campus
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Prioritize patient needs and direct them to appropriate care.
• Apply evidence-based guidelines and critical thinking skills.
• Collect subjective data related to presenting problems and medical history.
• Utilize critical thinking to match symptoms to protocol and assign acuity.
• Offer home treatment advice as appropriate.
• Document encounters and decision‑making in EMR accurately.
• Educate patients using active listening principles.
• Establish therapeutic rapport with callers.
• Meet established quality standards and competencies.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN)

Experience: Three or more years of experience as an RN in med/surg, primary care, pediatric, ED, critical care, or case management

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN);
Multi-State RN Compact state licensure required within new hire period;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
