Must be competent with cardiac medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex. Must be knowledgeable in telemetry and heart rhythms. Must possess critical thinking skills and be able to recognize changes in patient status and intervene effectively. Must have knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and recognize changes in patient status. Must have strong communication skills.
Description:
This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable. Decisions are typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants seeking more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off, or with negative background or employment history may not be eligible for the same processing timeline.
The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for their assigned patients during their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
