American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Step-down unit position requiring an active OH or compact license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.

• Work in the Step-down unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am
• Shifts may vary and are subject to rotation based on operational needs

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in the Step-down specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required
• References must be from assignments worked within the past 12 months
• Co-worker references will not be accepted

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessment completed during orientation; acceptable scores required (maximum 2 attempts)
• Required to work every other holiday
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Local candidates accepted
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Background check hits are reviewed but open cases will not be accepted
• No hits on professional license will be accepted
