Description:
This position is for a travel nurse specializing in outpatient clinic infusion. The nurse will work with adults and geriatrics. The role involves caring for oncology patients currently receiving treatment who require symptom management. The nurse will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and managing infusion processes. Documentation will be recorded using the EPIC charting system. A solid understanding of accessing/managing ports and handling body fluids post-chemotherapy is essential.
The nurse must monitor patients during treatment and recognize abnormal lab values. Isolation precautions and radiation safety protocols must be followed. This position does not require weekend shifts or on-call requirements. Candidates should have previous charge experience and be capable of maintaining IVs. Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary support is expected. The orientation for the role will be covered, with a focus on the infusion center's specific procedures and equipment.
