American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital setting requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating shifts (3x12 hours), 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet hospital operational needs
• Every other holiday coverage required

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty, from an assignment within the past 12 months
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation with passing scores
• COVID-19 vaccine required, medical/religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required, medical/religious exemptions only

• Deliver direct patient care to med/surg telemetry patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their last end date before returning
• Background check hits are reviewed, but open cases are not accepted
• License hits are not accepted
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
