American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown Neuro position requiring an active OH or compact license and NIHSS certification for night shift work at a major academic medical center.

• Work in the Stepdown Neuro unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work at least every other holiday

• Active OH RN license or compact state license in hand required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross
• Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with medical or religious exemptions only

• Provide stepdown-level care to neurological patients requiring close monitoring
• ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments completed during orientation, with up to two attempts to achieve a passing score
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• All requested time off must be discussed during the interview process
