Advanced Practice Provider - Weight Management

• 100% Outpatient Practice – No call, weekends, inpatient coverage, rounding, or OR responsibilities.
• Specialized Weight Management Care – Manage bariatric and medical weight-loss patients, including GLP-1 therapies.
• Monday–Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm schedule with dedicated administrative time built in.
• Partner with surgeons, obesity medicine physicians, APPs, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists.
• Structured onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing professional development opportunities
• Ideal for experienced APPs with backgrounds in primary care, internal medicine, cardiology, weight management, or other longitudinal care settings.

Develops and advances the quality of advanced practice through specialized direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education and research. Works to improve processes of care for surgical and medical weight management patients. Ensures quality of patient care by utilizing established standards of care for the care of weight management patients and coordination of services with physicians, psychologists, registered nurses, dietitians, and other weight management support staff.

  Education Required:
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program, MPAS preferred, and have passed the national certification examination administered by the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants or Masters Degree in Nursing with completion of Advanced Practice program in area of expertise and National certification as CNP, CNM, or CNS.
• Experience & Training
  
  Required:
• Current license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum one year experience as advanced practice provider preferred
• BLS certification.
• For RNs or NPs in the surgical weight loss program, Bariatric Nurse (CBN) certification through the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) is required within two years of meeting ASMBS CBN eligibility requirements.
