The Adams Lab within the Chemical Biology Program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in chemical biology. Prof. Drew Adams is the Peterson Professor of Novel Therapeutics and a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors (). The Adams Lab previously validated novel therapeutic targets in neurodegeneration and immunology that have seeded industry-led drug discovery programs.
The postdoctoral researcher will join an interdisciplinary team using cell-based assays to evaluate molecular glue mechanisms in close collaboration with a pharma partner. Candidates with a wide range of scientific backgrounds—including chemistry, engineering, computational biology, and related disciplines—at various levels of experience are welcome to apply. Accomplished synthetic chemists who are excited to learn and apply chemical biology techniques are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae and suggest three individuals who can provide letters of reference. The Adams Lab is committed to supportive mentoring and career development, and several past postdocs have launched independent academic labs or moved into industry. Applications from individuals historically underrepresented in science and medicine are strongly encouraged.
