Shortage Control Associate

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Maintain a professional appearance and a commanding presence at all times.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Monitor store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas for the duration of the shift.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious individuals to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates.
• Support associate training on shortage reduction programs.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to analyze business trends.
• Strong communication with customers and coworkers.
• Leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
