• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, where applicable.
• Keep track of all packages delivered through the employee entrance, excluding normal scheduled shipments.
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations to prevent loss.
• Perform figure‑8 patrols in store and remain actively moving throughout the store.

• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit, interacting with customers courteously and professionally.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with staff and management at all levels.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must stand/walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Must lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.
