Sales Representative
SUMMARY
The in house sales associate will focus on building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the residential and new construction process, from initial inquiry to final purchase or project completion. They will be organized, outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic about residential new construction while maintaining the most up to date knowledge on company products and offerings in the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio market.
ROLESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates Sales to meet and exceed goals.
- Maintains thorough notes on all leads and updates Builder Trend with lead and contact details.
- Schedules & coordinates customer meetings, such as model, touring projects, in the office or over a cup of coffee.
- Collaborates with D4 Marketing to have the most up-to-date, branded materials for our spec homes and/or models.
- Expands on and keeps up to date knowledge of D4 Homes product offerings, standard features, and options/upgrades.
- Conducts weekly check-ins with the VP of New Construction to stay organized and up to date on the latest department information.
- Understands the products and services being offered by D4 Homes, including technical specifications, features, and a strong knowledge of the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio Market.
- Maintains a positive, outgoing, and upbeat attitude while effectively communicating with clients and team members.
- Responds to customer inquiries, providing information, and nurturing leads to convert them into sales. Collaborates with D4 Interior Design to schedule client selection meetings.
- Maintains positive relationships with clients and provides regular project updates.
- Addresses client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Assists with additional projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.

- Education and Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). Associates degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 2-5 years in sales is required. Knowledge of the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio market is required.
- Language Skills – Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above- average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Other Qualifications - Occasional travel when needed. A valid driver’s license is required when travelling to job sites.
