We are seeking an On/Off Premise Beer Sales Representative for our Cleveland, OH territory. The representative works alongside distributor partners and local supplier distributor managers to ensure successful sales, volume growth, distribution, brand presence, and positioning of the supplier’s portfolio across a set list of on‑premise accounts and/or large and small format off‑premise accounts throughout the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Pursue new distribution opportunities and impact the local market to upsell, secure multiple SKU distribution, cooler visibility and displays.
- Work closely with local distributor manager and distributor partner to collaborate on goals and objectives, ensure proper product inventory, and proactively manage out‑of‑stock issues.
- Provide training to accounts on brand/product(s) including ingredients, pairings, brewing process, history, quality and current trends.
- Maintain store shelf standards and inventory, including rotation of products, checking date codes, and processing restocks and reorders as necessary according to the planogram standards.
- Sell‑in and build brand displays according to off‑premise standards.
- Execute POS programs to standard.
- Assist in executing impactful promotions and educational presentations independently and with team members at accounts.
- Utilize on‑line database and systems to track all territory progress.
- Maintain open communication with field and HQ.
- Manage budget and maintain records for monthly reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping including arranging and displaying point of sale.
- Frequent lifting and moving cases of product and other objects of 50 pounds or more.
- Associate’s Degree required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Must be 21 years or older.
- 2‑4 years of demonstrated sales experience, preferably in beer, wine, or spirits.
- Experience in retail, on‑premise, or off‑premise work is a plus.
- Experience as a bartender, waitress, bar manager, distributor sales rep, etc. is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must live in the assigned territory with reliable transportation; a large vehicle preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle with clean driving record/background check.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned sales region.
- Ability to lift and move cases of product frequently, climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Manage administrative tasks with attention to meeting compliance guidelines and standards.
The base compensation range for this position is $45,000.00 – $70,000.00 annually. This role is bonus‑eligible, with potential subject to applicable bonus plan terms and conditions.
