Purpose:

Provide a welcoming environment for all visitors to Progressive Field while ensuring all security measures and safety precautions remain in place across Cleveland Guardians spaces, including parking areas, Executive Offices, and the ballpark.

Work Schedule:

Part‑time role offering 24‑40 hours per week across three distinct shifts to ensure 24‑hour coverage. Applicants will be hired for one specific shift:
Day (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), Evening (4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.), Overnight (12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.). Additional shifts as needed.

• Provide exceptional service internally and externally in a professional and timely manner during callouts throughout the workday.
• Interface with the public, contractors, teammates, and security partners in a positive, engaging manner.
• Communicate professionally via telephone, radio, email, and in person.
• Maintain knowledge of Progressive Field security policies and procedures through training and on‑the‑job experience.
• Perform all daily security‑related functions, including:
• Conduct security screenings and bag for teammates, visitors, contractors, media, and other individuals arriving at Progressive Field.
• Perform and support regular security rounds and facility checks across all areas at any time of day.
• Report and document incidents, accidents, alarms, maintenance issues, intrusions, or other occurrences to ballpark management.
• Maintain accurate logs, monitor contractor activity, supervise deliveries, and interact responsibly with diverse entities conducting business at Progressive Field.
• Utilize security systems such as video surveillance, access control, metal detection, radio communications, incident‑management software, and other technologies.
• Execute emergency response procedures per company security policy and procedure.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to work at a variety of posts with differing responsibilities.
• Support and engage in Guardians culture of learning, proactively learning, adapting, and understanding directions.
• Monitor and direct traffic and parking in underground service area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Reliable, responsible, and motivated.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to learn and retain knowledge of Progressive Field’s areas and surrounding grounds.
• Perform under pressure and respond appropriately to stressful situations and emergencies.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new technologies.
• Operate security‑monitoring equipment, fire‑alarm equipment, and comprehend written security protocols.
• Good physical and mental condition to perform foot patrol during all weather conditions.

• Read, speak, comprehend, and communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Represent Guardians positively to partners, teammates, and public.
• Build professional relationships with teammates; approachable and collaborative.
• Perform essential physical requirements (extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, navigating multi‑level ballpark).
• Adapt quickly to fast‑paced, dynamic, diverse environment.
• Act in accordance with organizational values and service excellence at all times.
• Willing to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Willing to adhere to all MLB and Club policies.

The expected hourly rate is $16.70; actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and business considerations.
