As a Security Officer – Utilities Access Control in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security‑related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Carry out access control procedures based on site‑specific policies for utilities locations, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Assist with security‑related customer service needs by providing information and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Perform regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor security‑related systems such as cameras and alarms to support site security procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities in reports according to company and client policies.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management, site supervisors, and local authorities as needed regarding security‑related concerns or emergencies.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
