ALL positions begin as Part-Time with the option to bid on a full-time position when one becomes available.

Responsibilities

* Provide first response to emergencies, including medical incidents.

* Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned.

* Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.

* Enforce federal and assimilated state laws, conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches.

* Perform traffic enforcement and investigations, initiate arrests, and transport individuals.

* Guard NASA-owned or leased buildings and property, protect equipment and materials, and control access.

* Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, and perform package and parcel inspections.

* As a critical position will be required to report and remain available for emergency duty in expectation of a disaster or declared emergency.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.

* High school diploma or GED.

* Possession of a Diploma or certificate as a graduate of a Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency; or military services recognized basic law enforcement or physical security training academy preferred, but not required.

* Ability to work flexible hours such as weekends or holidays if needed.

* CPR/BLS certification.

* Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

* Preferred: 1 year of military or law enforcement experience, and a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy.
