Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
Overview
Field Service Technician Level II to join our team servicing the Central Ohio area. The Field Service Technician Level II will perform all Level I installer duties and bring advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities to lead installation teams. Responsibilities include configuring and programming devices and management platforms, overseeing system commissioning, and delivering customer training at a basic operations level to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following documentation to uphold installation and service standards
- Maintain strong organizational skills in handling project and service tickets with prompt updates
- Understand project scopes and service expectations, taking accountability for assigned tasks and delivering results
- Assume leadership by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities and fostering collaboration
- Mentor Level 1 installers when leading a team, solicit feedback for continuous improvement
- Maintain regular communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers as needed
- Demonstrate expertise with nurse call systems, card access systems, and video surveillance products
- Pursue ongoing professional development, focusing on leadership and communication skills
- Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation
- Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions
- Be flexible and willing to accept additional duties as required
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Working knowledge of IT networking, configurations, and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management or supervisory experience
- Experience completing projects within scope
- Experience with service ticketing processes
- Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, or emergency nurse call systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid US Driver’s license
