Prusak’s Precision Construction, a highly respected fabrication and installation firm, is seeking a Master Carpenter to direct a team of skilled craftsmen on projects for some of the largest names in the commercial retail space.

The Master Carpenter serves as a senior jobsite expert by providing leadership and direction, ensuring projects are completed on time and with minimal disruption to our clients. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and will supervise a team of 4-8 carpenters, manage time and materials, and coordinate with outside vendors to consistently deliver the highest level of quality.

The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for completing projects that exceed expectations, enjoys traveling to client locations across the US, is willing to develop junior level team members through their career path and fine‑tune their skills, and has experience working in the fast‑paced commercial construction industry.

Pay:

$30-$40 an hour

Full‑time pay based on level of experience.

Typically working 38-40 weeks per year.

72-84 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all onsite aspects of the project and coach team members in their approach and execution of day‑to‑day activities
  • Study blueprints and drawings to determine which materials are needed for projects and properly set up jobsites
  • Cut, shape and assemble wood, metal and other materials required for the job to a high degree of accuracy
  • Inspect the team’s progress and ensure that their work is up to standard and being carried out according to specifications
  • Ensure crews are following all rules and health/safety regulations on the jobsite
  • Safekeeping of tools, equipment, and materials
Requirements
  • 8+ years direct work‑related experience with a high degree of proficiency in finish carpentry, installation techniques, and technical aspects of the trade
  • Must have experience with scribing
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans
  • Familiar with building code requirements, industry procedures, and carpentry best practices
  • Available for travel and willing to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work and stand for up to 10 to 12 hours per day, climb ladders, and safely lift 75 lbs
  • Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Remain drug‑free. Drug screening is standard for all potential hires and ongoing screening may be conducted throughout employment
  • High school diploma or GED certificate. Additional continued education (trade schools, certificates, related degree) is a plus
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certificate is a plus
