Maintenance Repair Worker

This position serves as the lead worker in the trades area, requiring specific experience, licensure, or certification (e.g., electrical, plumbing, or carpentry) to complete skilled and semi-skilled trades projects as assigned by the superintendent or other administrative supervisor. The worker operates under the direction of the supervisor to assist in skilled and semi-skilled tasks not requiring licensure or certification, or to work independently on specified tasks including maintenance, replacements, and installations across various trades.

The role involves completing work orders and other forms, and performing related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience in performing light trades maintenance (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.) and the ability to operate small machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Basic skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively to colleagues, students, the campus community, off-campus groups, and vendors. Basic accounting skills. Ability to work independently to complete required tasks.

Supervisory experience is preferred.
