Paid Time Off:
Twelve (12) holidays, vacation time (after 6 months) of three (3) weeks per year for the first eight (8) years of service, and sick time.

Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) with 14% annual employer contribution and Deferred Compensation Plans.
Community Service Coordinators assist youth on probation with completing their community service hours by securing placement at various community non-profit sites. The Community Service Coordinator provides support to their designated probation office by providing regular updates, supervising youth completing service hours, tracking hours, site placements/reassignments, and managing the case until community service hours are completed. Completed community service hours could qualify toward restitution requirements.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. - Develops community service work-sites for youth in accordance with federal, state, and local laws governing youth employment. Develops sites for youth to meet community service requirements on daily and weekly basis including special projects.
- Interviews youth and families to determine work skills and maturity level. Matches youth with sites and/or special projects.
- Provides youth and family orientation regarding community service requirements. Communicates expectations with community service site supervisor.
- Monitors youth’s community service activities through site visits, attendance checks, and direct consultation with community service site supervisor. Communicates activities directly to appropriate court staff.
- Completes all administrative required reports as well as written or oral reports to probation staff, and/or immediate supervisor.
- Oversees transport of youth to and from work sites in relation to work crews.
- Instructs and directs youth regarding rules and behavior within the program and while driving the county-owned van to and from area work sites.
- Inspects and reports any contraband or security problems regarding the youth to the manager and/or chain of command.
- Collaborates with other Community Service Coordinators as needed.
- Develops job sites and makes job placement referrals for youth in compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding employment of youth. Provides job readiness workshops for youth.
- Oversees Court Restitution Program.
- Coordinates School Suspension Program.
- Completes county-owned van travel logs and prepares written reports as required.
- Performs any other job-related duties and responsibilities as required, including special assignments throughout the youth’s involvement in the unit and assists manager as needed.
Has no direct supervisory responsibility for staff members.
Equipment OperatedStandard office equipment and office technology such as copy machines, personal computers, and telephones. May need to drive/operate county vehicle.
Confidential DataAll court-related information regarding hearings, etc. that the employee may come in contact with by working in the facility.
Working ConditionsHas frequent contact with youth clients, who may be uncooperative.
Usual Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, to speak clearly, and to hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
