Youth Care Worker

Job Description

The Youth Care Worker supports mixed age groups through community-based services, providing supervision, behavior support, structured activities, and safety monitoring. Reporting to the Program Director, this role also maintains incident reports and other case documentation while promoting a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth across mixed age groups in community-based settings.
• Provide behavior support and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities.
• Monitor safety and promote a secure, supportive environment.
• Complete incident reports and maintain case documentation.
• Communicate relevant observations and concerns to the Program Director and team.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with case documentation.
• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
• Strong communication skills.
• Empathy and a supportive approach to youth care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
