Join us at Rockwell Automation as a Software Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience developing cloud-based applications that drive industrial innovation. This paid co-op strengthens technical skills, facilitates collaboration with global teams, and provides a learning-focused environment.

• Software development lifecycle in a professional environment
• Cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure and modern architectures like microservices and CQRS
• Programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, and Type Script
• Version control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Frontend development using Angular and RESTful API design
• Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration

• Learn to estimate tasks and report progress within an Agile team
• Help debug and resolve software issues
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to gain exposure to professional development workflows
• Explore new tools, languages, and frameworks with mentorship from experienced engineers
• Contribute to documentation and share insights
• Receive guidance from a Technical Lead to support your growth and shape your career path
• Collaborate with development teams, gaining hands-on experience in software development environments
• Gain exposure to the full development lifecycle, Agile methodology, system design, test-driven development, test automation, and build/configuration management

• You must be pursuing a bachelor s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to take a semester off from school to fulfill a co-op program requirement
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this role.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Angular/Node, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript (Type Script), Kotlin, Go, or Python
• Strong interest in software development and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge technologies
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and software development best practices
• Working on a software development side project that demonstrates a passion for continuous improvement
• Preference given to students met on campus or at Rockwell Automation recruiting events
• Preference given to prior Rockwell Automation intern or co-op students (past)

Base Salary: $22/hour - $32/hour with an annual target bonus of X% of base salary. Actual pay is based on skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
