WhatYou Will Do
In this role you will help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products with sound professional judgment and in an excellent and timely manner.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly, reliably, and safely.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language.
- Use state‑of‑the‑art video communication software to interact with customers in a responsible, reliable and safe manner, and document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Interact with customers and team members professionally while adhering to and promoting Intuit’s operating values, including “integrity without compromise.”
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, evidenced by 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Active unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year, strongly preferred.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week in 4‑hour shift increments throughout the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
The expected base pay range for this position varies by location:
- Bay Area and Southern California: $40.10–$46.20
- Colorado and Hawaii: $38.20–$43.90
- Illinois, Maryland, and Vermont: $38.20–$43.90
- Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington: $40.10–$46.20
- Minnesota and Ohio: $34.40–$39.56
- Washington DC: $38.20–$43.90
Eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits per Intuit plans and programs. Pay offered is based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location, with a focus on ongoing pay equity.
