East Cleveland Campus – After School Care Provider

Position: After-School Care Provider |
Location: Gaston Christian School |
Reports To: East Cleveland Principal |
Status: Hourly, non-exempt, paid monthly

• Keep accurate records of arrival and dismissal of students
• Maintain a safe atmosphere and environment
• Attend teacher planning/faculty meetings when requested by Principal
• Assist with staff childcare on teacher workdays if needed
• Correctly dismiss children to their parents
• Develop an open nurturing relationship with students and their parents
• Maintain excellent discipline and student control
• Report to work as scheduled and on time
• Make each student feel special and respected
• Plan and oversee interesting and stimulating activities for children
• Be sure facility is left clean and neat each day
• Oversee other After School Care Providers
• Facilitate with GCS Business Office after school care billing
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal

• Good communication skills
• Flexibility in working with parents and GCS staff
• Able to work independently
• Flexibility to incorporate multiple tasks with multiple deadlines
• Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week

• Demonstrate in speech, actions, and attitude a consistent walk with Jesus Christ as outlined in the GCS Statement of Christian Faith
• Be available always to be used by the Holy Spirit for the spiritual encouragement of students or fellow teachers
• Share the Christian faith with students
• Read and study the Bible on a personal basis throughout the year
• Be faithfully involved in a local church
