Responsibilities- Plan and teach classes as assigned, following course descriptions, syllabi, and departmental guidelines.
- Begin and end each class on time, covering all relevant learning outcomes.
- Maintain academic standards and classroom behavior, communicating with students weekly and responding to student emails promptly.
- Evaluate students using a variety of methods, informing each student of assessment scores in a timely manner.
- Use Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and promptly respond to student questions via this email.
- Meet deadlines for all administrative requests, such as submitting personnel paperwork, acknowledging contracts, academic activity and assessment reports, and final grades.
- Submit requests through the department chair, program coordinator/director, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids.
• EMT Instructor Assistant (I/A) with the state of Tennessee and
• Instructor for BLS with American Heart Association.
Adjunct faculty pay rates are based on educational qualifications. Rates per credit hour are as follows:
- Less than Bachelor’s degree: $500
- Bachelor’s degree: $525
- Master’s degree: $550
- Master’s plus 30 semester hours (ABD): $575
- Doctorate: $600
