Position: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Lee University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Psychology to begin August 2026.

We seek a dynamic and collegial scholar-teacher who will contribute to the undergraduate psychology program. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Experimental Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.

Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching undergraduate, on-campus courses such as Research Methods and Statistics;
Learning and Cognition;
Physiological Psychology; and Psychology of Motivation. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, mentoring undergraduate research, departmental committee participation, scholarship, and university service.

Qualifications
  • PhD in Psychology (Experimental or Cognitive preferred). ABD candidates nearing completion may be considered. PsyD considered.
  • Demonstrated ability for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement and contributions to the discipline through research, publication, or professional activity.
  • Commitment to student advising, mentorship, and collaborative departmental service.
  • A commitment to integrating faith and learning within a Christ-centered academic environment.
