Job Description

As a Sr. Project Engineer
, you will be responsible for the design and installation of projects and will serve as a senior active member of the Engineering community, site technical team, local engineering team, and assigned project team(s). Additionally, you will deploy your engineering know‑how to successfully execute and deliver projects that provide a competitive advantage.

The role will either be based out of Elizabethtown, PA or require travel to there as well as potentially any of our major sites across North America. Ideal candidates sit at Elizabethtown or could be at one of our Mars Wrigley sites (Hackettstown, NJ – Cleveland, TN – or Topeka, KS) with increased travel required. Approximately 20‑50% travel requirement depending on project demands.

This associate will concentrate on infrastructure (buildings) and utilities and will manage other portfolio programs within the team for the North American region.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical)
• 7‑10 years’ experience in a comparable technical position – food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry
• Proficiency in understanding engineering principles – knowledge of engineering disciplines:
  Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Construction Management
• In‑depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise – Infrastructure and Sustainability

• Managing projects to deliver safe, secure, and environmentally responsible results
• Engaging project team members, encouraging them to proactively perform assigned tasks
• Managing multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support and self‑development, concentrating on growing the role
• Contributing to a winning environment which promotes safety, trust and confidence
