Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (from an accredited college/university)
• Professional Engineering certification or ability to obtain
• At least 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering preferably have been in management positions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license
• Above average verbal and written communication skills

Job Overview:

• Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the Water/Wastewater Engineering Department. This role is responsible for maintaining and expanding water distribution and sewage collection systems, including the design and management of capital projects at wastewater and water treatment plants. The Senior Engineer will assist in managing department functions, developing budgets, overseeing private development approvals, and supporting operations.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop capital budgets for the Water/Wastewater Engineering Department
• Review and approve water and wastewater facilities for private development
• Develop plans and specifications for capital projects
• Assist with Water and Wastewater GIS mapping
• Inspect construction of water and wastewater facilities
• Direct capital project/design and construction management
• Assist with capital budgeting, management of all capital projects, and use of consultants
• Assist customers as necessary
• Develop standards and policies for installation of water and wastewater facilities
• Support water and wastewater operations as needed
• Manage outside consultants (selection, fee negotiations, scheduling, payment, review/approval of work)
• Knowledge of SRF requirements (application procedure, disbursement requests, document preparation, construction procedures)
• Confer with the public, consultants, and contractors concerning projects
• Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
