We are seeking an Area Director of Sales for our Cleveland, Tennessee market. This position would oversee the sales efforts for two Marriott hotels.

Position SummaryOur Director of Sales is an active member of the community, proactive and driven to maximize revenue, market share and profitability. The Director of Sales is responsible for executing strategic sales plans, building strong client relationships, and ensuring brand standards are upheld, while providing leadership.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies for both hotels to attain budgeted revenue objectives
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, group, leisure, and government segments
- Conduct regular market analysis to anticipate competitive trends
- Collaborate with above-property support to optimize pricing, inventory management, and distribution channels
- Client Relationship Management
- Establish and sustain relationships with key accounts, travel agencies, and community partners
- Engage in client visits, property tours, and presentations to foster business growth
- Represent both properties at industry trade shows, networking events, and community activities

Our Director of Sales will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands‑on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance;
reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical – to get it right for our guests and our business every time.
- Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. - Related
Work Experience:
Two years as a senior sales manager - License or Certification:
None
