FAR Inspections is seeking motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full-time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but an ability to manage time and meet deadlines is essential. Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years.

Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. Independent contractors perform inspections primarily exterior, occasionally interior for vacant properties. The purpose is to verify occupancy and report general condition via a mobile application.

• Complete inspections (5‑6 minutes each) within 4 days of assignment.
• Report property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
• Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Be willing to drive extended periods within assigned territory.

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate; rates vary by county and volume. You can earn an equivalent of $30‑$40 per hour
. Depending on county, you may complete 20‑500 inspections per month working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. You can earn more with greater availability or larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
