Job Summary

At Cherokee Millwright, we are a multi‑craft company that focuses on meeting our customers’ unique job requests by providing skilled personnel across a wide range of trades including millwrighting, pipe fitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, and more.

• Examine objects, systems, or facilities to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines, move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, airbags, and forklifts.
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
• Construct foundations, adjust clearance, and align machinery using hand tools, squares, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Assemble machines and fasten them to foundations or structures using bolts, welds, rivets, or other methods.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders as required.

High school diploma, GED, or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
