An international chemical company is seeking a Sales Representative to join our collaborative and growing U.S. team. This is an exciting opportunity to represent a globally respected organization while playing a key role in expanding our footprint in the U.S. market.
We’re looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys working directly with customers, identifying new opportunities, and delivering value-driven chemical solutions. You’ll partner closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
Responsibilities- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their technical and business needs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets
- Develop pricing strategies, promotional plans, and new product initiatives to drive sales growth
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations on products, applications, and solutions
- Negotiate pricing, order volume, delivery schedules, and contract terms
- Research and analyze prospective customer information and market trends
- Coordinate client meetings, including bringing in technical service teams and supplier partners
- Plan and support trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Stay current on industry developments by reviewing publications and expanding professional networks
- Maintain accurate reporting, including daily activity reports, weekly plans, and sales results
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
- Must have 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within the chemical or materials industry
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to customers in a clear, persuasive way
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Japanese business culture is a plus (not required)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
