Our client, a prestigious medical practice with offices throughout New Jersey, has an immediate need for an experienced, Front Desk | Administrative Assistant, to join their winning team in Clifton.
Our candidate of choice will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the front desk, including but not limited to check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and heavy phone volume. You are a team player and bring a with the ability to multitask under pressure in a professional setting.
Spanish speaking is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Recording and updating personal and financial information for patient records
- Scheduling, insurance verifications, authorizations (medications, procedures, radiology) medical records, referral system in the EMR, responsible for adjusting provider schedules to accommodate schedule changes, new patient scheduling, incorporates strategic scheduling to accommodate new patient growth, liaison with insurance companies, assists in resolving patient issues.
- Monitoring of emails, timely responses, and completion of provider/management requests
- Maintains confidentiality of personal and financial data in accordance with local, state and federal governmental regulations
- Oversee office supplies and inventory
- Oversee front desk patient collections (copays and balances)
- Oversee front desk workflows
- Provides administrative support to the clinical team
- Problem solves front desk issues with the guidance of the office managers and management team
- Anticipate issues, troubleshoots for solutions
- Supervises, directs, and optimizes the patient flow in the reception area
- Courtesy and willingness toward patients, their families and colleagues.
- Prior medical office experience strong preferred.
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- EMR knowledge.
