Position Summary Upper Montclair Country Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Part-Time Front Desk Associate to join our team. As one of the first points of contact for Members and guests, whether in person, by phone, or online, this role is key in providing an exceptional and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate embodies our Club’s culture of hospitality, professionalism, and warmth.

This position requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting all Members and guests upon arrival with professionalism and courtesy
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls using proper etiquette
  • Take dining, to-go, and event reservations accurately
  • Monitor and respond to Front Desk emails, forwarding messages as needed
  • Format, print, and post daily specials menus (also event menus and buffet cards as needed) using Club templates
  • Manage the distribution of mail and packages
  • Monitor parking lot gate access and report unauthorized individuals in or around club facility
  • Notify management of any dress code violations
  • Provide general administrative support as needed for club operations
Requirements
  • Availability to work evenings (Tuesday-Friday, 4-8 PM), weekends, and holidays (approx. 12 hours/week over 3-4 shifts)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer navigation
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and/or reception duties preferred
  • Business professional attire is required while on duty
