Position: Quality Engineer with Security Clearance
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer. Position Type:
Full Time Contract, Temp to Perm
Duration: 06-12 Months

Location:

Clifton, NJ As a Quality Engineer, you will:

• Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.

• Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.

• Liaises with Customers and Quality engineering to develop formal written reports and recommend corrective actions.

• Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes.

• Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors.

• Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags.

• Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures.

• Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings.

• Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.

• Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.

• Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.

• Make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.

• Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

• Support Fabrication and Integration of Space Flight Hardware and Software: tasks include Approve Work Authorization Documents;
Support material review and corrective action system and Standard repair development and authorization;
Evaluate use of sampling methods, key characteristic data collection, and monitoring once the process, documentation, and personnel are stable;
Continually evaluate contract performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction Support Acceptance Test and Qualification Test Procedure (ATP/QTP) failures;
Ensure approved test procedures, Certificates of Conformance or other contractually acceptable sell-off methods;
Identify required quality records, including preparation and maintenance;

• Strong Root analysis skills and written communication skills

• Ensure team understanding of Quality procedures, requirements via briefings;
Conduct program process audits as required. The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field or equivalent with 6 years of experience

• Knowledge of J Standard 01 and 620

• Knowledge of AS9100D
