Role Overview
Insurance Agent Trainee – Join Kemper as a Life Insurance Sales Agent. You will begin with a paid training period, study for licensing exams, and then work with an existing book of business to collect premiums and grow new sales.
Responsibilities- Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales
- Prospect new sales opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on an agreed schedule
- Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans
- Keep accurate record‑keeping, accounting for money collected, and process policy paperwork
- Grow the assigned territory through new sales
- Build strong working relationships with customers
- Devote the time necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role
- Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness
- Customer service experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage
- Dependable vehicle for daily travel
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening
- Authorization to work in the United States

New agents complete an onboarding development program that includes self‑study, classroom instruction, and field mentoring. Earn a paycheck while learning through hands‑on experience. Compensation is fully commissioned based.
