Job Location:
Clinton Township
Schedule:Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
Benefits:- 3 weeks PTO available in the first year

The purpose of an Accounting Clerk is to support our members and team members ensuring compliance and accuracy performing a variety of duties pertaining to accounting functions.
What You'll Do In This Role:- Post exceptions for Visa and Share Drafts.
- Post general ledger entries.
- Process stop payments.
- Balance corporate checks, money orders, Visa, share drafts, and outgoing wires.
- Balance subsidiary accounts to the general ledger on a daily basis.
- Send and receive wire transfers and ACH's.
- Process returned deposited items
- Process share draft returns.
- Process accounts payable.
- Review cash over and short general ledgers.
- Complete month-end duties
- Balance ATM/ITMs
- Have skills and abilities to back up other accounting positions in the department.
- Exhibits knowledge and produces work proving basic knowledge of accounting concepts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one-three years of similar or related experience in the financial industry.
- Must have knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following:
- Right to Financial Privacy Act
- Regulation E (EFTA)
- Regulation CC (Funds Availability)
- Truth in Savings Act
- Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- ACH Rules
