We are looking for substitute clerical candidates willing to work flexible schedules. Positions may be day‑to‑day or long‑term working every day.
Assignments- 4 hrs/day – 8 hrs/day
- Available to primarily work from 9 AM – 4:30 PM; some day‑to‑day assignments start as early as 6:30 AM
- On call
- $15.75/hour day‑to‑day assignments
- $16.25/hour long‑term assignments
This position requires a school diploma or equivalent.
Experience- Two years recent clerical experience required
- Five years of recent related experience providing clerical support in an office setting preferred
- Basic math, required
- Principles and processes for providing customer services, required
- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures, required
- Ability to read and interpret district policies, guidelines and government regulations, required
- Ability and willingness to participate in training classes, required
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, required
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, required
- Ability and willingness to learn different software systems, required
- Ability to multitask, be organized, meet deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced work environment, required
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with teachers, community, students and staff, required
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- Word processing 40 wpm, required
- Word processing programs, required
- Basic math skills, required
- Good verbal and written communication skills, required
- Customer service skills, required
- AS400, preferred
- School Dude, preferred
Keyboarding, Basic Word, Basic Math, Alpha Filing, Customer Service, Proofreading and Encounter are required.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds of file and materials, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small numbers.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
