Join Mercy One, a Catholic, not‑for‑profit, full‑service community health system serving counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. We seek a Medical Assistant to support patients from newborn to geriatric, preparing them for examinations and treatments, providing patient education, and assisting with procedures under physician supervision.

• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and assist with treatments as needed within scope of licensure.
• Provide age‑specific education and information to patients and families.
• Administer injections requested by physicians and administer medications under supervision.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and admissions outside the clinic at physician direction.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, instruments, and supplies throughout the day.
• Answer patient questions and follow up on test results, including mailing letters when necessary.

• Monday‑Friday, 12‑hour day shifts, with some weekend coverage.
• 40 hours per week.

• Certified Medical Assistant (current certification required; if not certified, must complete within one year of hire or transfer).
• BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, shared‑leadership environment.
• Personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in line with the mission and values of Trinity Health.

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
