With approximately 50,000 patient admissions every year, Mercy One Clinton operates 249 licensed beds and provides a continuum of care with specialized services in wound care, radiation oncology, dialysis, imaging, sleep disorders, therapy services, and skilled care.
- Prepares patient for any procedures and assists with the procedures/treatments as needed and within the scope of their experience and licensure.
- Provides age‑specific education/information to patient and family members.
- Gives injection requested by physician.
- Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the scope of license and under the supervision of the physician.
- Schedules tests, procedures and admissions outside the Clinic as directed by the physician.
- Cleans and stocks patient exam rooms, instruments and supplies throughout the day.
- Answers patient questions as necessary and appropriate.
- Provides follow‑up and returns patient calls. Mails letters to patients when unable to reach by phone to notify them must set up appointment to receive test results.
- Monday – Friday days
- 36 hours per week
- Certified Medical Assistant, currently certified. If not currently certified, must complete within one year of hire or transfer.
- Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
